Testing, Modeling, and Consulting Services
Colorado Building System Services offers a range of services to evaluate the performance of the Larson Building Systems Laboratory features state-of-the art testing capabilities for a range of building system components, devices, and controls as well as the lab’s extensive suite of field testing equipment.
HVAC Component Testing
Two commercial air handling units (1000 and 2000 CFM) are available for testing HVAC system components and controls, including heating and cooling coils, fans, filters, VFDs, and dampers.
Environmental Test Chambers
Two modular experimental chambers (20’x20’x8’) are available, each with a dedicated HVAC system for controlled testing of thermal systems, filtration system performance evaluation, sensor calibration and validation, and ventilation design analysis.
Facade Testing
Evaluate the thermal performance of façade elements, including windows, doors, insulation, and panels, using our hot box chambers.
Field Testing Instrumentation
A range of temperature, humidity, pressure, and flow rate instrumentation, as well as blower doors, electrical system monitors, thermal cameras, and air quality sensors are available to rent for your building performance field testing needs.
Energy Auditing
Hire us to conduct Level I and Level II energy audits of your building and recommend energy-saving retrofit measures. We also offer preliminary energy assessments, providing insights into your building’s energy use intensity compared to similar buildings nationwide.
Building & Energy Modeling
Our advanced building performance modeling, spanning CFD, energy, controls, daylighting, and air quality, provides a data-driven view of how your building and its systems perform.
Consulting & Data Analysis
